Billy Fitzgerald worked in communications since 1959 when he was a member of the original Radhare television team. He was assistant director of the Catholic Communications Centre, Dublin from 1971-1975 when he joined RTE, the Irish national broadcasting service where he was responsible for the successful Best Seller television series on the Bible.
