Liturgies for Weddings is not just for the use of celebrants, though it will be a great help to them. It is also offered to the bride and groom.
Its main purpose is to help them plan their wedding ceremony. But it might do more. Alongside the liturgies themselves, it includes a number of pieces intended to stimulate thought and reflection. The hope is that couples might hold on to Liturgies for Weddings and might, from time to time, find in it insight and inspiration.
Most couples walk down the aisle feeling joyful and hopeful. Liturgies for Weddings is offered as a boost to their confidence, and to that idealism which is a perennial source of hope for the world.
