Fr Bill East brings a wealth of experience to this book of sermons for every Sunday of cycle B in the lectionary.
'Reading and enjoying Bill East's homilies for the Year of Mark made me think how simple a good homily is. All it takes is a good soaking in the Word of God, a quiet heart to pray through it, a mind attuned to the spirit to ruminate on it, a lifetime of experience to reflect on it, a pastor's skills to apply it and a smattering of culture to illustrate it. Quite simple really! Added to all that Bill has had the generosity and courage to see share the fruits of his labours with us. I am sure that many will read and use this book with gratitude and joy.' - Terence Patrick Drainey, Bishop of Middlesbrough
