The theme of the 1994 A.GM. of the Conference if Religious of Ireland was: The Future of Religious Life in Ireland.
The preparation process for the A.G.M. began in January 1994, when the conference invited the religious of Ireland to come together in networks and regions to reflect and share on the following questions.
1. What dreams or hopes do you have for religious life in the future?
2. What are the important core values that need to be maintained and nourished?
3. What are the important prophetic elements that will characterize religious life in 2004?
4. What are the factors that threaten or militate against your dreams or hopes?
The responses to these questions were gathered and collated by the Conference and Una O’Neill RSC and Flanna Markham SS CC were invited to address the issues at a theological and experimental level.
